The bluebell woods look amazing & the rhododendrons & azaleas have come out about a month early - in time for Easter & May bank holidays.

January 2011    
The lakes at Woody Park are at last starting to thaw, having been frozen for nearly 6 weeks!! Woody Park looked like winter wonderland over the Christmas and New Year breaks.

March 2010  
Woodpeckers has been upgraded. Improvements include a new 42" TV &  sound system, a new leather 2 seater recliner & a massage chair.   

April 2009
 Spring has arrived! The Rhododendrons and Azaleas are flowering early much to our surprise given the cold weather earlier this year. They are really good this year. The bluebells are just coming out, and there are several broods of mallard ducklings already. The first brood of 5 coot chicks has hatched, and Kingfisher guests are currently sharing the island with 2 pairs of coots and a pair of Canada geese due to hatch their broods any day now.

February 2009

January 2009
Kingfishers will be ready for Valentines Weekend & is selling fast. Book early to get the dates you want!

December 2008
We've had some hold-ups during the build process (the wrong kitchen turned up!) so sadly Kingfishers was not ready for Christmas. We are confident of being open from Valentine's weekend though - look out for special early booking offers in February & March. New pictures coming soon!

November 2008
Work is progressing on Kingfishers, although slower than anticipated. We are still striving to have it ready for Christmas.

October 2008
Kingfishers will be nearly 50% bigger than Woodpeckers with verandas front and back. Colin has completed the groundworks & the cabin has  arrived from Germany in kit form. Assembly has started & the weather is on our side at the moment.

August 2008
A 2nd log cabin!  Due to the success of Woodpeckers, we have decided to build a second log cabin.  Kingfishers will be located on its own private island, 200m from Woodpeckers. Currently at the design stage, Kingfisher Lodge is due to open for Christmas 2008. We have already taken a 10 day booking for July 2009.
